NIVEA aims to abolish animal testing for cosmetic products around the globe and continues to advocate for cruelty free skincare. We are also working to convince authorities in China and other parts of the world who still require animal testing for specific cosmetic products that it is unnecessary, and are urging them to approve alternatives to animal testing officially.”
However as per PETA, Nivea is not cruelty-free as it tests its product on animals when required by law which unfortunately is still mandatory in China where Nivea sells its product to consumers.
Is Nivea Vegan?
Nivea does offer some vegan products that are free of animal-derived ingredients. However, you do need to check the ingredients list to be completely assured.
Is Nivea Clean?
Nivea does offer products free of phthalates and microplastic particles. However, lot of its products does contain SLS, PEGs, Fragrance, gluten, parabens, soy and oils extracted from different nuts.
