Lady Finger Hair Mask Recipe

To make your hair mask from stickiest vegetable on the market aka bhindy or okra you will need:

  • Lady fingers: 10-12
  • Water: 2 cups
  • Carrier oil of your choice: 2 tsp

To make this hair mask you need to start by chopping your okra into small pieces. Now add it to two cups of boiling water and let it boil for 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the flame and strain the boiled okra enriched water and add two spoons of  your choice of carrier oil. For dry hair we recommend olive oil.

How To Use Lady Finger Hair Mask?

Start by detangling and sectioning your hair. Generously apply the hair mask either using a spray bottle or you can use the bowl method too.

Let the mask work its magic on your hair for next 15 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

Make sure you don’t use shampoo for next 24 hours as the hair mask will continue to work on your dry manes. After 24 hours if you desire you can shampoo your hair but just after rinsing the mask, you will notice your hair appearing silkier. But make sure you don’t use a clarifying shampoo for a week after using this mask.

Why Does It Work?

The high nutrients of okra not only enriches your body from within but the stickiness that we hate actually helps to tame frizzy hair making it softer and smoother with every use. Plus, the added carrier oil and the light consistency helps penetrate the mask by going deep into the layers of your hair shaft and treat the damage and dryness at its root cause.
